Days Before Thanksgiving

 

🎄 Above is the latest video I’ve created for anyone who enjoys ASMR sounds during the holidays. I certainly do—it’s the perfect backdrop as I work on projects, prepare festive foods, or simply unwind with a good book throughout the season.

📖 The book I’m currently reading is one I’m truly enjoying. I can’t wait to finish it and dive into the rest of her series. It’s the perfect companion for quiet, lingering nights—something lovely and just right with a blanket, a cat, and a cup of hot tea by the fireplace (or even an ASMR fireplace).

🎨 Other than that, I’m working on a couple of acrylic paintings. One is a 16 x 20 winter-themed piece featuring a snowman outside a window. The inspiration came from my Great Grandmother’s house—when I was little, if I stood in her living room and looked out toward the front yard, this is what I’d see. I’ve changed a few details, but the memory truly carried me back there. I love this painting, and I doubt I’ll ever part with the original once it’s complete. Still, I’ll be sharing it here and may even make prints or downloads available—we’ll see.

I’m also sketching a few requests from family for Christmas gifts. Some of these feel a bit beyond my current skill range, but that’s the best way to stretch yourself and aim higher. Over time, I’ve mastered many skills by pushing further, and I think that’s one of the things I love most about being a self-taught artist.

✨ I hope everyone enjoys these days leading up to the holidays—taking time to count their blessings and feel grateful for all they have. Many people have far less, yet still find joy in the season through family, friends, beloved furbabies, and the simple gifts that make life meaningful.
